Hi Sorry I havnt been on in a while been slightly busy. I am glad you healing well your chest looks great now enuff. What an improvement. I am healing fine jus still slightly swallen on my left side and its making really paranoid. As it stands i have quite a muscley chest compared to the rest of my body so my chest does not sit entirely falt which again i am parnoid about. I deffinately have no gland and no fat as when i tense its jus muscle. I think im just being parnoid but when the internal bruising and swelling has gone it shud be great. I will take some pictures to show you all. I also have been hitting the gym doing cardio for the moment light running rowing and cross trainer. As for weights that will be in the next couple of weeks. I was looking foward to taking the vest off but i think im gona give it another week jus till i feel the swelling and bruising stops being as sensitive. I hope my thoughts are just parnoier only time will tell. I am still very confident of Dr. Karidis work. As i said earlier thier is 100% no gland Wahooooooooo.

P.S I wish i was went to the carrabean haha

I'm surprised you say 100% no gland, I don't remember what Dr. Karidis said re the gland removal, in most of the posts on this board they mention that a small part is left to stop it becoming concave.

Hi Danny - good to hear from you  :D

I'm sure when the swelling subsides everything will be fine dude. From reading previous posts, I think you have to look longer term for the results - 6 months minimum. Even though the bruising has gone there's alot of healing going on under the surface.

I've been taking the vest off during the day and wearing it at night. I've also been massaging with Bio Oil for about 5mins each side in the morning after I take the vest off and again at night before I put the vest back on. It's not painful, but it's a weird sensation and fairly sensitive but I think it's worth giving it a go mate - it's great having the vest off for 12 hours too!  ;)

Jock - Dr K does leave a very thin disc of gland behind the nipple so you don't get that concave look, but you can't feel it. Maybe 99.9% no gland is more accurate, but it feels like 100% no gland ....Wahooooooooo!   ;D ;D ;D
Dr K got rid of my gyne Jan 2009. Thank f@ck for that!

Hi Jock

Yeah, but I used that veet stuff to get rid of the hair on my chest rather than shave. Dr K didn't tell me to, but it just made sense to me to make the job as easy for him as possible! Was abit itchy with the regrowth but I'd rather that than pulling off plasters with hairs!  :o Getting the plasters off is bad enough.... Thought about veeting the armpit hair but in the end just gave it a tidy trim  8).

Hey it's feb... You're having the op this month mate  ;D ;D ;D ;D

Hi people I had my op on sat (31/1) and I'm so glad i did. It's nice to hear I'm not alone also. Chest is bruised and a little tender but seems flat and I just can't wait to return to normality. I wish everyone the best on here and out there who's had it done...

Cheers guys, one more question. How long did it take you to be walking about normally? (with vest under normal clothes) and was it an effort to keep it hidden? I'm starting work next monday again (desk job) and was just wondering. I'm going seeing a gig next thurs also which i'm a bit concerned about.

Thanks

Straight away really mate.

The vest is invisible under a T-Shirt or normal work shirt so long as they aren't very thin. If someone touches you though they might wonder what you have on underneath.....

You won't be as agile either but just say you have a bad back or something - might stop anyone touching you too. As for the gig - just see how you feel by Thursday. I was abit paranoid about getting bumped into for the first couple of weeks but depends what sort of gig..... :o
