No probs! Half 9, not too bad then 😊
Don't worry, I'm confident you'll look completely normal in a tee once the vest comes off. It'll be completely flat when you wake up, which is surreal to see. You almost don't believe it. But during recovery they will shape to how a mans chest should look. Mine are sculpting a lot now, and they do stick out but it's muscle and not fat/gland, so they look completely normal.
I'm nearly 4 months and I'm over the moon with my results. Anything after now is just ironing out the creasing and hiding the scars as much as possible.
In 48 hours you'll be completely fine and wondering why you was even nervous 😊
Keep us updated mate

Hi Mark, I've got Karidis booked in for a consultation next Friday, cant wait to get this done now after debating for many years.
I wish you the best of luck with the procedure, looking forward to hearing your story. Speak to you on the other side :)

Hi, his appointments are short and to the point - literally 10 mins in and out. That has put some people in this forum off but to be honest i found it reassuring. He knows what you are going through and he knows what needs to be done. He doesnt mess around. I think some people are almost expecting a 1 hour psychotherapy appointment! All you have to do is remember he does this day in day out and has done for years!
I am absolutely 100% confident in him - even though i'm still being a bit of a pussy about the anaesthetic!
I am less than 24 hours away now and could not be more excited. Gonna shave my chest tonight as ive read that it helps loads with the plasters/bandaging etc. The moment i am able to i will post before and after pics.

Alright lads,

Done and dusted and i am now on the other side! What a fucking relief!

First off - the staff at both the hospital and karidis were great. They were so helpful and friendly.

I was taken to my room upon arrival and the nurse (a dutch lady) came in to greet me and give me the low down on how the day would pan out. She also gave me the clothing i would be in for the day (which included see through briefs which you HAVE to wear and compression socks!!) and then you give them your lunch choice. I was then just left to chill in the room for about 45 mins or so. Karidis then came up and marked me up ready for surgery - again he made me feel completely at ease and assured me he would do a great job for me. About 30 mins after that i was called down to theatre.

You go in to the anaesthetists room first where they check your blood pressure and then put the GA in. It literally takes about 10 seconds for you to pass out. The guy asked me what i did for a living, before i knew it i was out cold.

Wish i had more to tell you from that part onwards but the next thing i knew was i was waking up in the recovery room from what felt like the BEST sleep i have ever had. It was amazing - my throat was a little dry but no issues at all from the GA. I was then taken up to my room to rest. You get your blood pressure checked every 30 mins to make sure all is ok. I was brought lunch about 30 mins later which i devoured because you're not allowed to eat for 6 hours before surgery so i was starving.

After that Suzie from Karidis came down to go through what i can and cant do and talks about the compression vest - she isnt really there for too long. Shortly after that the dutch nurse came in with the compression vests - you get 2. Mine werent the t shirt type - they were actual vests which is great as they cant be seen as much under tees and tops and ar ea bit more comfy on the armpits.

In terms of pain i would rate it at like 4/10. Its not too bad at all to be honest - just a bit of a dull ache like a proper chest session after weeks of not having trained chest. Sleeping is a bit awkward at night because i always sleep on my front but i was told to sleep on my back for a month.

I have some serious bruising and swelling which i am hoping will fade away in the next couple weeks but not too painful. Tbh you dont even need the painkillers they give you.

Attached are some pics of before and after. Apologies if the quality is shite but i was taking them on my own and it was awkward to find a decent angle.

Any questions please fire away and ill respond asap.

I must say though, even though i know its gonna be a rollercoaster of emotions over the coming months, i am so fucking happy that i did this.

Well done mate, good to hear it went well for you.
I can only visualise what life's going to be like without the dreaded moobs at the moment...booking a holiday to Thailand for a couple of months after its done in celebration...cant wait to be on a beach with no fucks in the world...
Sounds like it was a breeze for you, I am hoping for more of the same. Consultation is next week...
Not sure about the photo sizing, think there may be an app for it possibly...

Glad it all went ok!
Sounded pretty much how mine went. I didn't need the painkillers either, but I guess it's just in case. The sleeping is quite awkward, I sleep on my back, but tend to turn a few times in the night and this had me up early the first couple of weeks. But once the pain goes down, eventually you can start leaning on your side, but I remember this part taking the longest (and most annoying)
In regards to the pics, I uploaded them to an image hosting site, then used the url to attach them using the [ img ] code on here. They reduce the size as well. Try that, would love to see.

Welcome to the other side :)

16g gland taken from each side and 500ml fat taken in total.

Still not worked out how to reduce pic size in order to post!

Nice, I had 35g from the left, and 46g from the right. Also only 125ml of fat.
Try https://postimage.org, you can resize the images there as well.

Cheers buddy it is a massive relief. To be honest I was useless at uploading pics so not sure how they have come out because I'm doing it all on my iPhone. Also it was quite cold in the hospital bathroom so my gyno looked 100x better than it was usually and my nips were half the size they normally are.

Nice man, looking all good and normal post op.
It's really hard to show how much the moobs bulge out in just pics. It took me ages for my nipples to relax and get a decent pic, and ironically the best picture I got was right before I went in for the operation (see signature).
You hardly had ought before compared to me!
But I guess it affects people differently, and if you don't look how you want to look then at the end of the day it's your choice, but you're looking on your way to a really good result mate :)
