So, this is what i've got

I havent seen a doc yet, but i've been told this is gynecomastia.  What prices am i looking at to get rid of this? i've heard it starts at around 2k and goes up depending on the severity of the gyne.  But i've heard/seen horror stories of surgeries gone wrong.  What are the chances it happens to me? and if it does, is it reversable? i've seen some pretty messed up nipples due to surgery.
And i dont really have a doc, what kind of doctor do i go to see to ask questions? any doc? or a specialist like an endocricrologist (dunno if thats right, but the doc that specializes in the endocrine system).
And is it difficult to find a surgen that will operate on an 18 year old?

No question you have gyne -- a mild to moderate case.  How long has you had it?  If it has been present and stable for two years or longer, then odds are that it will not disappear spontaneously and that it would require surgery.

Suggest you consult a plastic surgeon who is interested and well experienced in gyne surgery.  If he suspects some other possible causes for gyne, then he would refer you to the appropriate specialist.  If there appears to be no other reason than pubertal onset, then you would be a candidate for surgery.

Best to research carefully -- you want to find a board certified plastic surgeon in your area -- that is your best bet.  And age 18 is not a problem at all.

Best of luck!

i'd say i've had it for a good 3-4 years.  And it hasnt gone down or increased.  i only have about 1k saved up atm.  once i get a job, almost everything will go to the fund.  About how much would you say an appointment with a gyne surgeon will cost me? I'd like to talk with a surgeon and give a doc some hands on time to assess it properly.  And see some before/after pics of some of his/her patients.

Those are good ideas to start.

Don't know what part of the world you live in -- but just make sure you go to a board certified plastic surgeon who has interest and considerable experience in gyne surgery -- and not just a few cases a year.

Ask to see some of his before and after photos.  And since this is entirely elective surgery, check out several surgeons before making your decision -- do not let price alone determine your choice!  Choose the surgeon with whom you are most comfortable and confident.

Best of luck!
