Is the shape the compression garment provide the ‘final’ or ‘target’ shape

I had my gynecomastia surgery. 5 weeks ago. I still don’t have a flat chest and am protruding almost as much as before surgery. The nurse I mentioned this to said that it will take many weeks for the swelling to go down. The only hope I have is the silhouette or the shape my compression garment gives me. If that’s the final shape I’ll get, I’ll be very happy. Is the compression garment shape what you’ll end up with after recovery?
