Discoloration of areola

Hello,
I had a gynecoamastia surgery and the areola was really large so it was reduced too.
now, after 12 days of the surgery the areola is peeling and the color is fading !
is that normal ?
will it recover ?
or I need another correction surgery ?!!
however I have a light depression ? is it becuase of the truma around the wounds ?

It's hard to say without seeing photos, but from what you describe, you probably have  some compromise of blood flow to the nipple-areola, to the point where you lost some epidermal cells.  When skin loses oxygen from impaired circulation, the outer layer of epidermal cells can slough away.  The tissue can recover if there's still blood flow present.  If your nipple/areola has pinked up, you should be fine.  Be sure to address this with your surgeon.

im wondering how long it will take before recoloration ?
I'm worried about it too much.

Sometimes there may be a loss of pigment cells.  Try treatment with cocoa butter applied twice daily.  It will take months to see an improvement in pigmentation.
