I think you should be in for surgery today if I'm not mistaken!  God bless my friend, hope all goes well and you end up with a great result.  The ladies will be all over that new manly chest in no time!
Shakenbake baby, SHAKE N BAKE!!  Ya, that just happened.

Whewwie! What a relief!!! Been home a little over a hour, just relaxing. Got the drains in and Dec am pretty sore.! My left hand finger tips(where the iv was) are numb, kinda feel asleep so that's weird lol. Looking forward to Monday when I hopefully get the drains removed. Saw the big ol meat patties they removed and was like, wow! Lol

Everything went well from what I know, nurse ans anesthesiologist said my heart rate was up as well as BP pre and post op but I think its due to nerves and pain...thanks for all the good wishes, means alot!!

Great - you did it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know what you mean about BP. I already have high BP, fortunately my heart is good (echo cardiograms last year)..

Rest, and then go get the drains out!

March 27 is not to far away for me.

Thanks! Yea to my knowledge my heart is fine. Had an ekg a few years back and all was well. I do have pretty bad anxiety and panic issues, so maybe fhawt was the reason. It didn't feel like my heart was racing but it was in the 92-98 range I guess...who knows I've been stressed beyond belief for over a week lol

It will be huuuuuge when I get the drains out, they make me feel restrained and the maintenance sucks on em.

Sleep was a pain in the butt last night. I slept downstairs on a lazy boy type of chair to keep propped upright. Between tht, the vest, and the drains I had a he'll of a time getting comfortable.hung out till about 130am watching net flux, dozed off till about 4am woke up for water and to empty drains, then fell back asleep till about 645am. I have the next few days to just veg out so I'm sure I'll nap here and there.

The drainage is definitely gettin less and less. Was getting about 10-12ccs every 6-7 hours, now it seems more like 5ccs if not less. That's great news considering I have to be pretty much done drining by Monday so I can get these things out!

Finger tip numbness was definitely from whatever drugs they gave me, I felt it slowly fade yesterday and is completely gone now. I'll be sooo relieved when the drains come out, until then just gonna keep all the dressings/wraps/vest on.

Hey!!  Congrats!!  Glad to hear everything went well.  I'm SO glad I didn't have to deal with drains, they sound like a total pain in the rear.  How long do you have to keep them in?

They REALLY are man. Just knowing they are there is nerve racking, plus there is def added discomfort.

Scheduled to go in Monday to have em removed. Caaaaaant wait!!

Ahhhh! Slept so much better last night. Crashed out around 9pm, woke up at 1am to empty, milk, and record my drains. Wen back to sleep till 8am! Feel refreshed, still still and sore. I may take off my vest to remove the big foam padding underneath, but I am nerve racked to do anything lol..I am thinking yesterday was the worst of it, hopefully it all goes up from here.

Just about 72 hours post op. Woke up feeling about the same as yesterday, still haven't removed my vest to take s look; don't really plan on it until I goto my check up tomorrow where they HOPEFULLY remove these damn drains. The drains suck, slightly uncomfortable, but they are just more bulky and high maintanence than anything.

Pretty 'backed up' but haven't had any stomach discomfort or anything so far. Just been laying low. It doesn't appear that I am getting much drainage, maybe 2-4ccs every 6 hours and id say it's half blood half yellow/clear fluid....hardly anything at all.

I was so damn worried about the ga and actual surgery tht I didn't put much thought into recovery...it appears i overlooked it a bit because it sucks lol. I am a busy body, hardly can stand sitting through a whole movie, so been bed ridden the las couple daysnhas been rough. Hopefully everything looks good and this all ends up worth it!

Well decided to undo the vest and remove the foam. It was killing my armpits, and the nurse said I could remove it if I wanted to. Sooo, I saw my chest. Wow, I am in shock. It's flat, a little swollen, not bruised at all, but definitely flat. My right nipple almost looked a little indented but I didn't take that gauze off and I think what I was seeing was from the tape. Its 72 hours post op so I obviously can't think too much into it, but as of now my biggest concern would be nipple shape..tomorrow at 245pm I go in to have the tubes yanked and im sure I'll get to see both nipples uncovered.

It's funny, all you want is to get through the surgery. You think once that's done the hard part is done...well tbh I think recovery and revealing your new cheat is the scariest/most nerve racking part! Lol it's all a long process, time will tell!

How's it holding up, Crossfit99?  Hope there's minimal scarring and pain. Your username caught my eye, since I love crossfit myself and my biggest disappointment about the surgery is that I can't crossfit for 6 weeks after :( My surgery's scheduled for the 20th of this month. I understand that there's quite a lot of excitement / anxiety building up toward the surgery and after it's done, there's the anxiety about recovery and results :) I know it's too early too talk about your results, what with the scarring that may come up, but I hope you're satisfied with them!

Hey Steve! Yea man the time off from the gym sucks, but hey, after I am all healed up I can actually do a wod in the middle of summer without my shirt on like all the other guys lol!!

Can't really comment on scarring just yet, only 4 days post op, but from what I saw I am pretty flat. It's a shock cause I'm a pretty big dude. 6' 230ish (squat is 450+ dl is in the 500 range), so to see a chest this flat is almost weird lol. Obvioisuly the doc doesn't touch muscle, so it's a reality check on what I neeeda do in the gym.

Where are you located? What surgeon will you be using?

I get my drains out today and will report back for an update!
