Yes mate, I started massage 15 days post Op too, was well tender, made me grimace a bit, I tell you! ;)  But it was good to be able to feel my chest and suss out which bits were the most swollen etc.  Have been massaging for about 12 days or so now, twice daily. Much much better now, totally bearable, but still lots of swollen and tender/numb places..you just get accustomed to them.  Underneath the nipples being the weirdest still, they feel dry and alien, like they aren't yours and if you press them too hard...well you'll find out ;)

Quite sir, they do not feel like mine at all! I have been massaging periodically but not too much, the healing is happening everyday and I am feeling much better all the time.

If I can give any advice to anyone, and it's probably not what people want to hear, but don't fret after surgery. You will undoubtedly be restless and anxious for the healing to complete but it's not worth losing your mind over. Let the magic happen and take care of yourself, don't concentrate on all the little aspects of the healing. It's going to take time, but it'll be worth it in the end.

@Wingman - just use the email address on Levick's Website, the info@ one. You'll get a reply from there.

Thanks mate, completely forgot about the site!

what happens if you press too hard? Sick comparison shot wingman, awesome stuff. Look's like Levick's style isn't quite as violent from your healing.

Appreciated Ad!

It can hurt a fair bit if I am too heavy handed with the massaging.

Levick certainly appears to be somewhat gentler from what I gather.

Yeah it's hard to gauge when massaging, my lady friend who has done it on me many times now says she is sometimes pressing pretty firmly, but I can't feel shit, then other spots she is hardly touching me and it's sore as fook!  Doing about 20 mins twice daily now if not more.  Still tender but nothing compared to when I first started it.  Plus the longer you get post op, the more you realise just how long the healing does take.

The healing process is a long road, as you say, that becomes increasingly evident as the weeks roll by. Despite this, the surgery and long recovery process is, without a shadow of a doubt, completely worth it.

3 weeks and 4 days post op.

I am still aching a little round the pecs, and massaging once daily is helping this. I'm now only wearing the compression vest during the night.

I did a small workout today, fifteen minutes of light weight training. I know some may highly advise against this but I haven't felt any pain whilst doing it, so I happy with that result.

Just a quick little picture to keep everyone up to date with regards to where I currently am at, this was directly after my workout and shower, so excuse the towel;

I am not as active on the forums as of late due to personal commitments but, should anyone have any questions regarding my surgery or their own please feel free to contact me, I'll be happy to help.

Great results, working out at three weeks post op is fine if you feel comfortable. If you want to feel really secure you could get some nike under armour but thats only to make you feel a bit more comfortable.

I definitely felt safer in the nike compression top for a week or so after, it really helped.  I yawned the other day and stretched fully, there was a sensation and a tiny bit tightness, be another week or two till I regain full movement I think.

I know you aren't perhaps looking at these forums much nowadays, as you're probably out there enjoying your new chest but i just had a few questions.

Hows recovery going now that you're over a month post op? I think you're case of gyno is really the closest to mine I've seen from anyone else's on here. Which is great as you're results are awesome and my surgery is with levick too. How are you finding the massaging and how long do you tend to do it for? Hope you're making even better progress now, the final result is going to great.
Gyno free :)

I am always willing to help Pez, I have notifications that allow me to track this post so if you have any questions at all I am more than happy to help. The sense of freedom and euphoria I have developed since the surgery is something all gyne sufferers should feel, so if I can help, even slightly, with that journey I will!

So here we go;

Six weeks post op!

Truth be told recovery is going well but please be aware that it is a slow process. Initial results were fantastic, and have continued to improve over time. I still have some concave above my nipples, especially noticeable when I tense my pectoral muscles. I am not sure if this will slowly go away one day, as it doesn't seem to have improved all that much in the last six weeks.

I am massaging once every two days for about 20 minutes. I should be doing it twice daily but have either simply not had the time or remembered after I've got into bed! Massaging used to be quite uncomfortable and tender, and sometimes even mildly painful. My scar tissue developed and went away quite quickly, especially under the arm pit, so do not panic when yours develops.

I have began working out again and have found it to improve my results even further. I have been completing bicep, chest, leg and back workouts with core workouts thrown in. Admittedly the chest workouts were a little painful at first (slight sting if I pushed too far) but as I'm working with 2x 5KG weights it's not really worth worrying about.

I'll update the post periodically to show progress. As can be seen below, not much to update.

I use Bio-Oil for the massaging, this can be got from Boots Pharmacy.

Make sure you pick up some Arnica prior to the surgery for consumption afterwards.

Here are the latest photos, which I find tend to speak better than words;

Looking good wingman.  Impressive results.  Wouldn't even know you've had surgery either.

Can you give me a rough idea on timescale for your scar tissue please...ie. when did it arrive and how long did it take to go?

Awesome result Wingman! How is the sensation in your chest, is it still painful in places (to touch)? Also do you still have any swelling, under the nipples?

Thanks buddy! I have never been a big fan of cardio to be completely honest, never done much of it unless I had to, therefore I am just using weights at the moment and being exceptionally careful with my form.

Appreciate the comment. It's such a relief to have someone say the surgery isn't noticeable. The incisions are healing very well too.

Scar tissue formed around 10 days post op and remained highly visible up to around 4 weeks post op. Massaging is essential to help reduce this.

Thanks Ham!

It's still ever so slightly tender to touch right above the nipples but everyday this is getting progressively better.

There's still come swelling that I believe it producing the concave effect, however I am hoping that with more massaging it will slowly disappear.

Thanks wingman.  I'm now 2 weeks post op and am really noticing the hard lumps that have developed in my chest so will keep up the massaging as you say.

Will keep following your thread.
