That's a lot of money. Especially compared to some of the costs you see in Europe. However, the results as seen here speak for themselves. Really impressive, but then some people don't appear to be that happy with his work post op

My total costs were closer to £4,500 (I got my bloods done at the hospital, but you can definitely get them cheaper/free elsewhere.)

Karidis has a high success rate and there are pages and pages of accounts on here from guys who were happy with his work - I think I know of only one or two that were unhappy. I'm only 6 days post-op so I can't really comment yet. I can say I definitely don't have gyne any more, I'm just not sure what the final result is going to look like. But then again, that's probably going to be more down to my body type than Karidis' handiwork.

You can definitely get it cheaper elsewhere in Europe (and probably even in the UK) - just make sure you do your research and know what to expect. For me, it wasn't really about the money. Don't get me wrong, I'm not rich, but at the end of the day, this is my body I'm changing permanently; so I didn't think money should come in to it. But I totally understand it's a massive factor for a lot of people.

The thing about Karidis that attracted me the most is the fact that I could read incredibly detailed, first-hand accounts of his operations on here (worth much more than any testimonial you'd find from a doctor's website). There's so much info on here about the procedure with him, I even knew what lunch I was going to order before I arrived at the hospital!! It's been amazing to be able to speak to people on here who have been through (and are going through) the exact same experience (some who even went through it on the same day!) What's more, the fact that he's in London and that I could be recovering back in my own house within hours of having it done, was a major plus point. I think psychologically it'd have been a lot more of a struggle if I was alone in a hotel room in Poland for 5 days.

Yeah, I haven't booked the consultation either Nipper - not too sure when to book. I've read it's better to wait until things have settled down a bit - maybe at 6-8 weeks?

The fat is under the armpit. I've always had it there, which is why I don't think it's swelling. It's just looking more accentuated now because of the flatness of my chest - I probably just need to drop some body fat. Anyway, I'm going to try to ignore it - I'm doing exactly what I said I wouldn't do (stressing about my chest!)

Yeah , you do right mate.  And like most of us, you will have the impetus to drop bodyfat now like it's going out of fashion, bound to make a difference.

Yeah I'm totally fretting about the elevated left side too  they tell us to ignore it but it's pretty tough isn't it!

Damn right about the impetus to drop body fat. Not sure about you all but I feel like i've been training against a brick wall for years because of gyne, hopefully now we can get into a great shape!

I'm sure we're just worrying too much and are riding 'the roallercoaster'. Not denying that I wish I could fast forward to the final result (or the left side would just go down so I can stop worrying!). I'm going to try and post a pic on my thread tomorrow too to get some other views. 

I just took my pit plasters off a day early because the left was falling off anyway. Noticed i had a bit of like raw flesh sticking out my right arm where the incision was. I pulled it out, was gross. Just a word of warning!

Just found out how much fat/gland was taken out during my op.

Apparently I lost 600mls of fat (300mls from each side) and a total of 30g of gland tissue (14g from the left side and 16g from the right).

That seems like a hell of a lot to me! No wonder I was in pain...

Obviously it differs from patient to patient, but anyone know what's the average usually?

How did you find out knives?  And I'm not sure if there even will be an average, as most folk will differ int he ratio, depending on the type and severity of the gyne I would have thought?  Maybe look back through some logs to get an indication.

I just emailed Nicola from Karidis' office. She had to go and get my discharge summary details but she replied within an hour or two.

Yeah I'm sure the amounts will differ, but from what I've read on here, I feel like that's quite a bit. I guess my case was more severe than most.

I wasn't given an amount of how much was taken, but Ollie was. If memory serves, around the same as you.

Just to reiterate my own post mate.  Got my letter today.  250 mls of fat in total.  9 from the left  11 from the right. Told to make OP appointment at six weeks in this letter.

@adamj: Yeah, I requested mine. Just emailed Nicola and she replied back within the hour. I believe they send you them in a letter in a week or two though anyway, which is what Nipper just got. I was just curious...

@Nipper: Looks like you got about half the amount I got sucked out them mate! I must've been a double D, haha. Yeah I've booked my follow-up for 7 weeks after (he didn't have the slot I wanted the week before). Apparently Karidis consults Monday, Wednesday between 10-5 and Friday between 10-3 (he's not stupid working late on a Friday eh!)
