Can swelling persist 4 months post op?

The short answer to your question is yes. There is great variability in the extent of swelling after surgery and the resolution of the swelling.Other important factors are the extent of the gynecomastia before surgery and the exact nature of the surgical correction.

Agreed. Swelling can persist quite a while, which is why I tell patients that I don't like doing most revisions before 9 months to a year.
