Hi,
I have had Gynecomastia for some time and I'm currently looking into surgery however lately I have had a burning feeling around the gland. Does this mean i have a hormone imbalance or is this a normal inflammation that can occur?

Most gyne is quiet -- ie no symptoms.

If you have burning, itching, tenderness, etc, etc, particularly in one breast (not two), it would be wise to have it checked out by a doctor.
