While I do wear Bust Reducing Apparel under my shirt, it’s still quite apparent that there are mounds on my chest. I don't flaunt  the fact I have boobs but have given up on hiding the girls anymore. I am modest about hiding the headlights, they, like many others here, are almost constantly pokey, but other than that I couldn’t care less what other people see. My posture is so much better now and between that and my bra, I rarely have back pain anymore. 😁

True life stories: Sometimes when I am going into a public setting I try get away without support... fear of visible bra strap lines etc. And so I was leaving the house yesterday and wife is like "umm. You need to go put something on." I guess that means if the wife is persistent that I shouldn't be leaving without something to smooth and strap things down, I better start breaking down my fear of persecution. I suppose if confronted guess I be like... "Yeah I am wearing a bra what is it to you?  Oh an F off."

That said I went and got myself a new holster.
It's comfy. But, I will probably will only wear it around home though.
Really makes things pop a bit. I know it goes against the "give a f attitude". But baby steps?

Not going bury the needle and go straight into low cuts flaunting my cleavage and bikini tops. Ha..

When I go bra shopping now, I will wear a top that defines my bosom. I figure I am in a boutique, the fitter is going to see me in a bra, what's the difference. It certainly wasn't easy the first time but the fitter never acknowledged my chest until we were in the fitting room. And if anyone else was there (they haven't been) it would hopefully head off questions or concerns of why a man is bra shopping.

That's a great looking bra and clearly fulfilling it's intended purpose.

That bra looks very good and appropriate on you. I really like how it looks with it's simple clean lines. With your wife's support maybe it is time to just enjoy the daily support of your bra. The look is definitely becoming.
If the bra fits, wear it.

JJ_gyne, that bra looks great on you and I can see why your wife thinks you shouldn’t be going out braless

Johndoe1, I believe that’s the right attitude and way to dress for your bra shopping and fittings. You belong.

JJ - the bra looks like it would support but also smooth things out under a shirt, thanks for sharing.  If the straps in the back can be adjusted to crossover to form an X, you may find it more concealing almost like a racerback sports bra.

JJ, nice bra. It's doing its job. A proper fitting should give some kind of lift to center the bust and give proper support and containment. That bra is doing that.

Thanks all,
Might retire some older models in exchange for another like it. I felt very comfortable all day long.

@Midagemoobs2 - I have done that before on occasion the buckles move more between the shoulders and don't pop so much through t-shirts.

I think you look great in that bra.  It appears to fit very well.  You said in a previous post that it makes things pop.  I get it.  Many bras contain and smooth out yet can give us a feeling of having them pop. Or on display.  However your wife even suggested you put something on as your overall appearance is better.  I would have to think if she said it and sees you look better I would have to think others would also.

I am not as light as I would like to be, there is no denial from me there.
However I am not overly heavy either and stand 6'2" or so. I guess I view them more as breasts and not moobs.
I don't mean to sound unsympathetic to those who have fatty gynecomastia but I have fairly feminine breasts on an otherwise male body.
So I try to be as modest with my choices as I can.

Having the size growth I now sport, when I wear my newer t-shirts xl or 2xl, they don't sit right when I observe good posture.
Viewed from profile you can see a very noticeable tenting result with the bottom hemline in a clear diagonal, where the size of my chest and bra cause pull up and out the shirt material. That's if I don't tuck in my shirt if I tuck in well that is just tightening the material up and then there isn't anything hiding the truth about what all is going on.

So while bra selection to smooth out contours of my breasts is desired. I still try to avoid excess pop. aka won't really look at push up bras that claim to add cup size.  I have no need to rush into DD's or larger at this time. If I get there I will deal with it.

I am not so concerned with a random passersby on the street-- front view momentary contact is very hard to detect a bra.
However, when in a public setting like a bar or somewhere where you would be mingling.
A profile view or seeing me from the back clearly shows the shoulder adjustment buckles. Those are the dead give away flags I try to avoid.

As I have said before, a button down pattern shirt works very well. I would not be caught in a t-shirt and not sure how many of you would.
