This is what I am having a problem with:
https://www.nbcnews.com/nbc-out/out-politics-and-policy/texas-bill-identify-transgender-state-felony-rcna195642
A Texas state bill could charge transgender people with “gender identity fraud,” making it illegal to identify as trans on official documents and potentially leading to jail time.
The bill, which was filed last week by Republican state Rep. Tom Oliverson, would make it a state jail felony if a person “knowingly makes a false or misleading verbal or written statement” by identifying their sex assigned at birth incorrectly to a governmental entity or to their employer. State jail felonies in Texas are punishable by up to two years in jail and a fine of up to $10,000.
Before anyone jumps, the legislation is if you read it poorly written. it just makes a daft point about sex and leaves it.
Does not address intersex/DSD/Hermaphrodites, or other aspects.

This is ultimate simplicity and overly broad and ambiguous.
I know a person at the mall that appears to have all the symptoms of Klinefelter syndrome (XXY chromosomes). I never asked but the symptoms are very apparent.
They were transitioning until recently when all the laws started changing. They have since cut off their lovely hair, stopped wearing makeup, and started wearing men's attire (even though their breasts are still visible).
I don't think they are actually "detransitioning" but rather conforming to new pressures around them. But unfortunately many politicians will pat themselves on the back and say they accomplished many detransitions.
Things at the centre have gotten much stricter as well. It"s a new vigor against transgenderism. I was surprised when they suggested I get a double mastectomy!
As for the proposed law that will most likely pass, I am already in a gray area as officially my birth certificate and social security already have me listed as female. So do half of my newer medical records (not the day-centre). It's only my driver's license that doesn't agree with my other official documents. Short of carrying medical records around with me I don't know what else I can do.
I did find out today that I can't have an out-of-state license and remain in the medical program I attend, so I shall remain in the gray area until I have disabled housing available in Oregon.
