I think thejuice is on the right track.

Then again it is possible that the weed, which elevates Estrogen in men, might possibly suppress her normal ovarian output of Estrogen in the same way that steroid use causes a decrease in normal Testosterone levels in some men.

It is not without good reason that the stuff is illegal.
