Hello All,
I have returned safe and sound, albeit sunburnt and shattered.
I met Ian, who is a top bloke and his girlfriend (Top lass….can I write top lass? .lol)
I don’t have the time to write to much because I am shattered but I will say this…..the surgery was excellent and I am really happy, and the weather was glorious.

I have posted some pics….Only one after shot.

Pics are just to let you see slublice so you know it aint the back of beyond   .
I have not taken any of the clinic as these are on the website ….:)

Speak to you all soon….

One very tired and sunbunt…Mark

Right quick summary before i go to work.

If you can talk to people on here before you go and try and get the same date it makes alot of difference. Having Mark there helped as we went through things together.

The collection and transport to the hotel was great, so no need to go over that again. Woke in the morning and a 3min walk to the clinic. It is a bigger place than i assumed and was greeted with a little english from the nurse, and took to a room.

Within half hour they came to take a blood test, sneaky buggers actually but the large plastic thing in at the same time ready for connection to a drip etc. It doesn't really hurt but it is then done till surgery.

Then the nurse came got me to go see Baranski. He is with another surgeon who speaks excellent English. Top off and i was examined.

Now for my problem. Baranski told me that all of my gyne was GLAND and that is all he wanted to take out, no lipo. He sketched on a piece of paper as his words were translated that it was such a large gland that i risk having saggy skin after surgery so he wants me to have the gland removed and wait 6 months, loose weight as he said i was fat( cheeky git ;D) and as i was young the skin will hopefully retract. If not then i would need surgery for the skin.

He reassured me that with excercise and weight loss he doesn't think i will need the skin took out but he wants 6months before he will do any final shaping with lipo if i feel i need it.

To quote his words after surgery , "your gland was massive but all gone now"

My chest is now about 1 and a half times bigger than when i went in  :-[ as it was a very invasive surgery through a small cut in the nipple for such a large gland. When the swelling goes down then i can concentrate on firming my chest and the skin will retract.

Not once did he make me worry and heck he could of told me anything and i would of done it, but he choose to do it so my body would hopefully adjust itself.

Apart from that when i woke up i felt no pain at all lay there as I watched Mark walk past me into theatre. By morning we were up and about getting ready to go across to Frankfurt in the 25degree sun. Baranski had a quick look first then practically ordered us to have 2 beers  :o :o Marks face lit up and asked why, he said it helped for something with the blood but we didn't really listen to why lets just go  ;D

Great experience really, i do feel a bit down hearted that i am not completely free of gyne but it's now up to me to diet and shape and as there's no gland i could have great results.

Never ever listen to Mark when he says he can talk German, he was bloody terrible ;D made for a good laugh though.

Will update more as i progress, any questions just fire away.

Sunburnt too and me and the gf have lots of bites from our polish insect friends  >:(

I'll not forget that in a hurry when you thought you'd broke your arm, think you must of woke most the clinic up that night  ;D

The vest has really pulled me in and the swelling is definately starting to go down, not alot but i can feel it. I still can't believe how little pain i feel, except when i knock myself or you get an arse of a security guard at the airport who decided to check me and whacked my nipple with his metal detector wand thing. Could of  rabbit punched him right there, it brought a tear to my eye. Most pain is in my back as laying on it all night and not turning is making me stiff but a small price to pay for no pain elsewhere.

Had a pull at the sticky tape he put over me before i left, holy crap that stuff sticks, i wish i had shaved now  :'(

Thanks guys  ;D

It really was like going on a little break in the sun. Half a day and the night of the op is the only time your just so low on energy and full of drugs that you just sleep. The rest of the time you just feel tight in the chest but that's it.

The nurses come to you while your at the clinic alot and ask if you have pain, not that we did have any and did we need anything. They even had a laugh with us the next morning asking us exactly how big were these 2 beers we had had the night before (we got in a bit hyper that night shall we just say  ;D)

I did shave around my nipples but the tape he put on before i left stretches from just before my underarm to just before the centre of my chest, so it covers everywhere.

Another thing while i think about it, mine and Marks nipples had no blood around the stitches at all as i've heard a couple had hard blood caked on. Weird, maybe they clean you up more after they have finished.

It's so hard to tell a story in words of how nervous i was when i was stood in the clinic room waiting to go for the op.  But honestly the worst bit is the plastic bit they put in your arm while they do the blood test that just stings. But then as everone has said you just lay in the theatre and the next thing you know your awake with the great english speaking surgeon telling you everthing went great and what they are doing with you now.

I may have to go back in 6months for lipo as i've said earlier but the experience i had makes me not fear it at all.

Givemerespite, what size vest did you order? i measured 44" chest and got a large it fits nice and tight, i am ordering another as they are cheap enough, then i can wash them more.

yorkshirelad, i flew from East Midlands on ryanair for about £35 return, it is cheap as chips, costs more for the taxi ride to and from the clinic  ;D. Mark flew from Newcastle with easyjet for about the same IIRC.

Results are obviously as important as the whole experience, so i'll have to wait and see. Mark looks excellent now, but mine is badly swollen. I will take pictures and post when the tape is off, but i had a different case to most with stranger large spread out gland not just like most with a hard gland behind the nipple and fat. I was told the truth from the start that he was unsure what to expect and it was down to me to diet and tone up and give it atleast 6 months, and i tell you going through all this and the chance of it looking no better if i don't get off my bum and work at it is incentive enough for anyone.

Good luck to whoever goes next, you really won't regret it. Just remember to try and get someone else on the board to go at the same time, it really does help.

  • I've had my final operation :)
Hi Guys, ;D

I booked my flights with easy jet one month early and got them for around £40.00 , if you book them early you could end up with a real good bargain .  :D
I set off from England at 18:10 and arrived at 21:10 ( 2 hour flight and an hour added for the time difference) . I was me by the polish taxi driver who ushered me towards a small coffee shop, where I waited and gathered my thoughts whilst waiting for Ian’s flight to arrive (Not to long….about an hour) .
We drove from Berlin to Slublice and the journey took around 45/50 mins (at a slowish pace) .The journey was good a laugh due to our high spirits and excitement.

We arrived at our destination (Puerto Hotel) a little after 11 and sadly the bar was closed!!! Oh, well….straight to bed after a little chat and a bag of crisps  .
I did’nt sleep a wink that night due to my excitement and I was rearing to head for the clinic at first light…..but thankfully the shower had been unplugged, so I had to plug it back in and wait for it to heat up….this delayed me  .

We arrived at the clinic for 9 am and were both taken to the upstairs lounge , which was very spacious and modern. This in when the serious nervous disposition started to kick in for the both of us . The nurse came up after about an half an hour and showed to our rooms….which was a double and for us to share….which was good as the silence would have killed me.
Whilst in our rooms Ian decided to pace the room back and for ( after seeing the surgeon and changing into out hospital garments) as if he was waiting for the green mile and then he came out with the immortal line ‘ what if when we go under we are still awake and we feel everything’  :o. That was it , I was a wreck and proceeded to devour half of my finger  .  ::)
Ian went in before me and I had an hour wait , but luckily his gf was there so we chatted about anything but the surgery. The Ps came in some time after and told ian’ gf that she could go and visit him , she shortly returned to tell me that ian said ‘ there is nothing to worry about and it’s a very relaxing sleep’ .This helped steady my nerves a lot and I was thankful of Ian’s thoughts for others considering he had just woken from surgery…..good man  . ;D
My time came and went and everything was great…..after the recovery room I was put in my bed opposite ian and we spent the whole evening and night till morning just snoozing and waking for a chat and snoozing again…..like to OAP’S.

The next day we were up bright and early and rearing to go, once we had the intervenes removed there was no stopping us, especially when told we could enjoy a few beers . We declined the offer of dinner at the clinic and opted for Mc D’s in Germany ….and spent the day milling about in the sun and the tow beer gardens ( One in Germany & one in Poland) .

Conculsion : Great experience, excellent service, excellent company and glorious weather……And what of the results? I am absolutely thrilled , now I only need to concentrate on the dense forest I have been cultivating for some time…..hopefuly this will stop Ian calling me ‘Monkey Boy’.

Mark
;D
