The airport in Berlin is Schonefeld. But they will get you from any, so Andreas said.

I will PM you my msn mate.

Cheers Ian, ill look out for the PM

Hello All,

Reading your posts yorkshire_lad , i am guessing you are very excited and anxious...lol  ;D All normal :) .

You don't need to pre-book the room at the Hotel. The taxi driver drops you off outside ( first time he took me in) .Like ian said its only 28 euro per night which is a great price.....there are a few other hotels near the centre of slublice.
The Airports for the likes of Ryan Scare and sleazyjet is Berlin Schoenfield. This airport is only about 45 mins from the clinic and a nice relaxing drive and cheap :) .

Slublice is very basic compared to Frankfurt oder , but they will both easily meet all your needs during your stay :) .

Hi Ian: How bad is the swelling? i seem to have swollen up a bit on the left hand side.....but i guess its all part of healing process :) .

Hi Mark. The swelling is going down but i would now say i am nearly to the same size i was before op, they did swell up to alot bigger than i was, that is what was getting me down i suppose when i layed eyes on them and thought he'd given me implants instead  ;D

The swelling though is so soft like fluid under my skin and i can compress my chest flat unlike before with the hard glands so when he said he took out all the gland i believe it.

Went to the gym today, did some cross trainer, bike and a jog on treadmill, not a bit of pain, well in my chest anyway, i was knackered  ;D Felt as though i could of lifted some weights but common sense told me to wait atleast till i've had my stitches out. Still no real pain and i can now sleep on my side ok.

Hi Mark, post op picture looks good.  How is everything feeling now??
I need to send some photos the start of June and if the doc thinks that I need a revision which he will (I look very similar to your pre op) I should be having an op either end of June or start of July.

yorkshirelad_1979, you'll have to let me know your dates as I may be able to get the same.  I've already been and had lipo during the start of February.  Results are OK but there is definately gland that needs removing, which is what I want.

Mark, how much did the op cost you did you mention that you would like more lipo or just excission?  Just wondering how much I need to budget.

It will be really good to see some more or Ians and your post op photos at some point.

Anyway well done chaps, sounds like you both had sucessfull trips. ;)

Those of you who bought the sleveless Nike Compression vest. Do any of you have a bit of a belly?  ;D

I'm thinking of buying an XL one so I can wear it when I'm outdoors rather than the compression vest. Especially as the summer is approaching. Do they still work well over a gut?

Thanks gents.  :)

Hi mate, ive just today got mine delivered.  Its a large and its proper well tight.  Im just hoping it is going to be big enough to get over the bandages and that the compression wont hurt too much.  Im a 44" chest and id say its fine.  The belly does stick out a bit but it gives me drive to sort a wash board stomach out for summer

What size top/t shirt/ shirt do you usually buy? Just a large in clothing as well?

Don't worry about your belly the vest stretches easily, i have a bigger belly than chest lets just say that.

I got a large for my 44" chest and it holds me in nice, i wouldn't buy a bigger vest than you are or it won't hold you enough.

My chest on the left hand side has swollen up and seems to have gone hard ( i am assuming this is all fluid0 but i don't see any alarm for concern.....i just think this will be part of the healing process as i am only 8 days post op :) . Hi everyone,

just registered though I've known of this site for a while. This curse has been with me since my teenage years.Developed it like any other adolescent male, had friends that had it then as well as teenagers. In my case however unlike their's it stuck around and I'm now 33.

As I'm African and grew up up in Africa,  surgery to correct this condition was not common so I basically had to live with the condition in absolute torture. Now that I live in the UK, I must and I repeat must get rid of this curse. I'm scheduled to do it in Poland on the 31st of July, will anyone else be going then? I also wanted to ask  if the stitches can be removed in Poland before coming back to the UK within the minimum 2 day period? If not where does one take them off once back? what do U do you do about things like showering while bandaged? can one shower properly after the bandages come off.

I've never had an operation in my life and must admit I'm quite nervous, particularly as I'll be doing it in a strange land but believe me I'll risk anything to get rid of this stuff and I mean anything, it's been and still is an absolute nightmare.

Hi oakjazz, I can answer a few questions.

No you can't have the stitches took out in the 2days in Poland, they need to be in about 7days. I am due to have mine out in the next 2days so i will either go to my doctors and ask to see the nurse on that day and she will remove them or just go to your local hospital a&e and ask them to do it.

You are only bandaged the day of surgery and the day after. So the day you come back they remove them so you can have a shower then you put your compression vest on. The sticky tape they put over your stitches protects the wound, and believe me the tape doesn't come off easily.

I'd never had an op either and i was as nervous as hell when i got there but all i can say is you go to sleep then you are awake. The next day your walking about wondering what the fuss was about.

Good luck with everything, post some pictures if you can.

Thanks a lot ian89,I'll definitelt post pictures once I'M done, but I'm not due for surgery till the end of July. Can one actually just go in to one's surgery on any day and ask for stitches to be taken off?, sorry if this sounds silly, I dont ever need to go to the hospital so I dont know about these things.Well even if it' s not possible, I guess I'll fix an appointment for about a week after my surgery and have it done.

Is anyone having surgery on the 31st of July?

Where i am i can't book an appointment to see a doctor/nurse it's a case of ring in the morning for an appointment if they have any left then your in. If you can make an appointment then just make it 7-10 days after your surgery day.

Come on lads roll up, who's in for the 31st July?
