I am very pleased to have found this site, I thought that I was the only man in the universe suffering from enlarged breasts. Here are some of my pics:

I was fat once but decided to lose weight to get rid of the breasts. I lost about 55lbs but the breasts still remain. I lost the weight through running and diet. I have never done chest exericses, which I am considering now ofcourse (a whole gym visit). Now that I've lost the weight and the breats remain will work out make them go? I can't feel any disks under the nipple indicating gland and my nipples are never puffy and I think they are of average size.

Anyway I am a swimmer and was on the swimming team in my school and club and have always been swimming my whole life. It was a little embarassing taking off my shirt, but I used to say who cares? However I am now looking for a better body.

Any suggestions on how to cure this? Is surgery my only option? Thanks

the missing letters are "a" and "m" instead of asterisks. Very sorry for this.

i just took a look at your pics. to me it looks like a combination of both. it's not a severe case but if it bothers you then what's the harm in finding a doc that gives free consultations? then you can find out from him if it's fat that you can lose or if you would need a procedure. from what i've read, though, most gyne is usually a combination of fat and gyne and a lot of times even the docs don't know until they are actually doing the surgery. usually it's a combo of both, with 1 more or less being the "main" problem. if you can feel hard disks or something that feels like a bag of marbles under your skin, then that is usually gland. hope this helps.
