9th day Post-OP

Things still looking good. No swelling at all. Nipples still look small, not puffing, and are flat with chest. Hoping it continues to stay this way.
Continuing to wear tensor compression wrap at all times, except for a quick shower.
Gonna wear it for another week or 2, then will just wear an UnderArmour compression shirt.

I rolled down my compression wrap and took some pics quickly, here is the link to them http://www.gynecomastia.org/smf/index.php/topic,9516.0.html

I keep having a repeating nightmare, in which i wake up in the morning and im horribly swelled up and have GIANT nipples. LOL   :(

When i stand up straight or raise arms there is no concavity or anything, however if i bend my chest down or lean then there is a bit of a concavity on the left side only. Its not too bad...but so far its the only negative aspect i have noticed. Is it possible that it will get better with time or with building up muscle when i start weight training again???

I had a female med-school student, she was probably like.... AHH MAN BOOBS *SCALPEL SHAKING IN HER HAND*  :(

I don't think it's appropriate for him to have a med student there without telling you before hand (especially a female one). You know, I often wonder what they do when we're unconscious. It can be pretty humiliating, when you think about it.

I think it's not only thier presence in opeartion room, I think they actually do perform on our body too .... I doubt. That's unfair.

Yeah i wasn't too happy about that. But perhaps this is why OHIP covers majority of the surgery cost for Dr. Fielding's patients, as the doc allows med students to get some surgery experience.

Dr. Fielding probably did the right side, as that side on my chest is perfect.
The left side is pretty good too i must say, the chest is flat and the nipple is also no longer puffy. So if that was the med student's doing then she must have had skill.
The only problem i have with the left side is a slight concavity when i lean or flex my chest while leaning a bit. However, if im standing up straight relaxed then its perfect.

Is it possible for the slight concavity to fix itself over time,  and would weight training and building up muscle in my chest help?
I dont have any pics of the problem yet, but i have some 10-day post op pics that i took.

Just hoping a slight concavity on the left side gets filled in over time.

No problem and thanks  :)

GB... even though i am more than happy with my results... I have a slight concavity on my left side when i flex my chest. I still would rather have a slight concavity than have gyne, but am a little concerned. Do you think its possible for it to get better over time, and would starting weight training to build up muscle in the chest help?

If you or anyone else knows answers to my question it would be greatly appreciated.

MRD...

I have a slight concavity on my LHS also. Not as bad now as it was right after surgery tho.  ;)

Like you said....  I'd rather have a 'slight' concavity, than Gyne.

So it does get a little better over time, thats good to hear.  When i can start weight training again i'll also see if building up some muscle there will help too.  :)

You should be able to go to the gym at week 3. Just take it easy though. Listen to your body, if it hurts, stop and wait another week or so...

Do you go to a gym or do you workout at home?

No i dont go to a gym, workout at home.

3rd week post-op

Thought i'd give an update.Everything still goin well. Took out my stitches few days ago, and the scars are already barely visible! I actually cant even see them myself unless i stare at my nipples very closely. In terms of swelling, there has been none, which im very happy about. It almost looks like im completely healed. I tried going for a run yesterday, but it didnt feel too comfortable, so i'll try again in a few days.
All in all everything is well, except the slight concavity on my left side that hasn't improved yet. Im posting an update picture, you can see the concavity in it a bit. I hope it gets better over time. Do you guys think it looks bad?

No the concavity isnt visible when my arms are up. Its only visible if i lean my chest forward, or flex my chest muscle, when im standing relaxed its not visible. I sent a few messages to some guys that have had it, and most of them said it got better for them over time. So im hoping that will be the case with me too. When i start working out again im gonna do some benchpressing to build up the chest muscle to see if that helps fill it in a bit.
I wanted to go for a run few days ago but it didnt feel comfortable, slightly painful. How long do you guys think before i can go for some jogging?
