Thanks man! Appreciate the positive feedback.

Yea, I am really  hoping those creases settle down a bit, really makes my nips look weird/deformed. Gonna get in the gym here soon and hope that, plus some massaging of the tissue helps.

Time will only tell.

Keep up the good work.  I think he's right, just give it some time before you really start to panic.   Personally, when I let things amplify in my head, I'm unable to see things clearly.  Not saying you are seeing things incorrectly, but dwelling on it at this point will do no good.  Eat healthy whole foods, with alot of fruits and veggies that have vitamins and fibers.

It sounds like a very healthy diet can dramatically help the body's recovery time.

I'm sure it will be almost impossible, but I'm going to do my best to not inspect my chest for at least a month.  Obviously, I will see it, but getting up close with it will do no good, in my perspective.  Going to eat healthy, ride the erecise bike, and follow the post-op instructions to a T.

yea, thanks buddy. I guarantee you I am being obsessive about it, however what I see is no myth lol. The creases may go away but man, they are pretty gnarly and have a hard time believing that they will.. Time will tell, all I can do is eat good, train, and wait.

Excited for tomorrow? I checked out your surgeons site, his 2 methods are described JUST like my docs are on the site. Basically Lipo then Excision (or bilateral subcutaneous mescetomy), not sure how your chest looks; but make SURE he's doing lipo + the excision man. Paying that much money, it only makes sense to do it how the experts do it. Even really lean people get lipo, to prevent what may have happened to me.

edit: oh and GOOD luck not looking at your chest lol! Man, I was seriously terrified to look the first time (maybe deservingly so), but once I got that first peek it was ON lol!

Showtime620, I think you have your procedure with Dr. Lo today? Nice website he has. I hope all goes well.

crossfit99,

I see comments from Docs (in other area) and others offering some reassurance on the creases going away with healing. Hang in there. I imagine I will be joining you in a week about obsessing on results. I am also going to do my best to contain my obsessive/perfectionist/worrier side for 2-3 weeks while healing.

Yup.  Sitting in the waiting room as I type. The butterflies are kicking up big time.  Crossfit, in really not that bad, a little less than you, specifically on the left side.   Most people, especially on this website, probably would think I'm being overly dramatic to opt for surgery.  But I will ensure that he's doing lipo; he did say that he starts with look and I should wake up unable to grab any breast!   Feeling nervous,  my fingers are crossed.  Will update afterwards.

ps - signing all that living will paperwork is a bit spooky.

lol, if my calculations are right you are probably just about done with surgery! Congrats brotha, excited for you! Haha I tried to not read any of that, just signed away! Let us know how youre doing!

Thanks GreatLakes, only time will tell at this point. I'll definitely express some unhappiness to my results when I go in next Thurs. He will probably just blow me off and say everything will turn out fine then haul ass outta the room like he has the last few times, but I am gonna try to sound a little more real about it this time. The shittiest part is the $$, I am not some super rich dude that could just fork out 3-5k at the drop of a dime. I spent time saving, then even pulled out a little personal loan to get this procedure done. 5k is a hefty amount for me to just dump on something, without being completely satisfied. Like I said though, only time will tell, not much I can do at this point!

All done.   Sitting in post-op now.  Feel good in general but certainly a little sore.  I saw Dr. Lo briefly, said he did the lipo and excision and that it went well.  (I'm sure they all say that, though)  where the tubes are coming out of the armpits definitely hurts the worst.

Now, my next issue is waiting for my fuckin ride.  He is so far the only person I've told, but he's not the most reliable. Hopefully I won't be sitting here all day long!

I'm really hoping to have the appearance of an actual chest when this is all said and done.

I can already smell myself starting to stink.

lol congrats brother! -- Actually, no, my doc or nurse never said 'it looked good'. Dude I am seriously disgusted with my whole experience to be completely honest. All my doc said was 'we got a lot of tissue'..yea, too much male thingy head! lol

Anyway, just chill back and take it easy. Don't stress on the ride, just pop some pain pills and get some rest. Congrats again man.

Way to go Showtime!  Hopefully your ride shows up soon, and you can go chill out at home.  No better place to relax and heal than at home, in your own bed or recliner.   ;D
Shakenbake baby, SHAKE N BAKE!!  Ya, that just happened.

Thanks guys.  I'll be sure to update throughout the weekend, as well as be on here to ask questions, im sure!   for now im skipping the percocets he gave me.   im gonna try to tough it out, I've always admired that scene in Road House when Patrick swayze skips the pain meds.  :-)    oh! And I got a ride.  I posted on facebook: "anybody off of work today, have a car and want to make $50 bucks?! Message me for details!"   And it worked! I told the girl who got me that I had to have two cysts removed and didn't want my family to worry.   She seemed to buy it.

Yup.  That's the plan! I just ate a shitload of spinach salad and dressing, and some cheese and water crackers.  As much as id LOVE to dive into a giant pizza, cheesesteak or Chinese food, im reading that whole foods, specifically fruits and veggies are the best for recovery and scarring.   I don't think I could've timed this much better as the sweet sixteen games are about to start. 45 minutes!    Right now, each bulb is about. 1/4 full.  Will probably drain in a half hour or so.        I can't wait til noon tomorrow when I'll be 24 hours out and can drink a delicious cold beer!
