Good Surgeon in New jersey which accepts Empire Blue Insurance.

I am new to this forum but i have been reading a lot. I am looking for a good surgeon who accepts insurance. My primary care physician has been surveying my pain in my nipples for over a few years now. I just visited my local surgeon who sounded pretty confident but didn't have any proof of earlier gynecomastia surgery or any male surgery whatsoever.

but she takes my insurance. Which is a plus factor. I was wondering if anyone out there has had good experience with a doctor who has had good results in the past and takes Empire blue cross Blue shield? My surgery is due to pain and family history of Breast cancer not just cosmetic. I tried to get to Dr. Jacobs but he doesn't take insurance and i dont have the money to pull out of my pocket for this if my insurance will pay.

Very few surgeons accept insurance simply because insurance very rarely covers gynecomastia surgery.  They call it cosmetic surgery and refuse to pay for it.

My policy is to request full payment for my surgery and then my office will be quite willing to bill your insurance company for any reimbursement -- which would go directly to you.  If your insurance coverage is excellent, then you might expect a nice reimbursement.
