Hey Damien, you're progressing really well.  Once that swelling goes down and the scar tissue dissipates you'll be 100% flat.

I'm nearly 3 months post op and still have some annoying scar tissue but as long as you're prepared for it to take time, it'll all come together in the end.

Keep up the compression as much as you can - it really makes a difference.

All the best.

Ur chest is looking awesome already mate, it looks great. I think if ur gna give up wearing ur vest full time, then I would maybe wear an underarmour vest during the day then wear the medical one at night while u sleep. U might aswell just do the compression right as you only get one chance at this.

Thanks for the pics, it's nice to see what things actually look like!

Yeah defo wear your vest for the 6 weeks, it is the most important part of the healing process, you HAVE to do it! Make sure it's tight enough and just get used to it, 6 weeks isn't that long!

Let's hope the scar tissue won't be too bad!

Hahah thanks wezzer, yes sir will do! Compression on!

Hey Guys,

Hope you are all well? I am sorry I have not posted this weekend. I aim to post by the end of this week. Nothing massively to report, swelling has gone down but scar tissue and some level of nipple slanting is prominent but this was expected and I am going to keep massaging and to be patience.

@poland2012 – I was not given the amount taken from me. I did ask, but I suppose she forgot to get back to me.

Hello All,

Hope you all well! I am really sorry for not updating this thread as I promised. I have no excuse other than enjoying the results of my surgery. It has been 3 months and 3 days since my surgery and I am really pleased with the results so far! As expected, my left chest has a little more to go as it bruised and swelled really badly after the operation due to the large glad that was removed. My right chest has healed real nice with the nipple in place. I am currently training and lifting weights to get my chest to where I want it to be. I anticipate it will be though but I am keeping my fingers crosses. I was able to ditch the compression vest after 1 month of uncomfortable use. After wearing it on and off after my surgery, I was encouraged by you guys to wear it 24/7. So I wore the compression vest for a further 3 and a half weeks 24/7. It was uncomfortable but worth it.
Here my chest so far. If you have any questions you need only ask.

Damien

@goodbyegyno – I wore the Macome vest. I hope your healing is going well? You have made a right choice bro!

Wezzer, Poland2012 and Zack42 how you guys doing?

Great results mate, looks really flat! You're healing has gone super well!

What size Macom vest did you get btw? I know she says to get a size smaller than what you usually wear, so I'm just wondering if you did that because I'm stuck on which one to choose as I'm just borderline between medium and small!

How's everything else going though mate, what's it been like being gyne free? I've got two months until my op, I'm nervous!

Hey Wezzer! I am glad to hear you are doing well mate! I am so happy that I went ahead to do surgery. It has changed my life immensely. The only thing with surgery is that you will need to heal after and that process itself made me a bit anxious as I really just wanted to enjoy my chest. I suppose I am not as patience as I thought. I can change in front of my friends with no hesitation or awkward excuses. I can wear any top/t-shirt/ tank top with no doubts. And sex has never been better!

I wore one size under for Macom vest. I am a large but wore a medium with no problems, mate. The material stretches nicely so you will get compression but you will fit in if you got a small.

You need not to be worried at all mate it is the best thing you will ever do! Two months to go! That time will just fly and you will be in Poland soon. How is your savings going?

Awesome mate, I'm so glad you're finally reaping the benefits of having a normal chest! I can't imagine what it's gonna be like to get changed in front of someone else, i really can't. Now you know what you've been missing out on all these years!

Personally, I've not thought to much about all the things I would be able to do after the surgery because I know that sometimes it might not look how you thought it would look after it's all healed and settled. A lot of people have said it's good to have 'realistic expectations', so I'm just not having any expectations, just in case!

Saving has been a struggle because the money I put away last month had to be used, so I've only got £330 away at the moment, and I'm putting away £500 from this month's and next month's pay, so that'll be £1330 in total.
After paying the rest of the op, I'll only have £200 to pay for the transport to and from the airport, the blood tests and scan, food and prescriptions. D'you reckon that'll be enough? I might have to borrow another £100 otherwise and just pay it back at the end of June.

What's it been like wearing clothes now, has it completely changed what you think about wearing?
Also mate, what places near to the Ibis were good to get cheap food and stock up on water and things like that?
